Join us, Saturday 25th January, 3pm-8pm at the West End Croquet Club, Musgrave Park, for a series of activist workshops and skill shares followed by community dinner.
‘Last Sunset’ recalls the last day of freedom before colonial invasion of this continent. As Magan-djin/ Meanjin/Brisbane mobilises for Invasion Day 2025, we’re gathering activists, thinkers and creators to share practical skills and knowledge for the struggle.
Grounding the day in the continued resistance of sovereign Blackfullas, we draw the links between colonial violence here and elsewhere. By strengthening our collective skills, networks and knowledge, we sustain our movements for solidarity with Blackfullas, Palestinians, West Papuans, Kanaky and oppressed peoples everywhere.
‘Last Sunset’ will include a Welcome to Country, guest speakers, practical skillshares and actions alongside banner painting and reflections. We’ll finish up with a community dinner and live music.
This is a free event, but registrations are essential!
