Sam is a Wangerriburra and Birrigubba man based in so-called Brisbane. Sam has been involved in organising protests for Aboriginal rights, justice for Palestine, ending refugee detention and against racism.
Sam is passionate about solidarity, collaborative organising and change from the bottom up, when ordinary people work together to challenge and resist injustice, exploitation and oppression wherever it exists.
Sam’s work at ICRR involves creating media and resources and supporting events that build solidarity and the strength of grassroots communities.
Sam is also a filmmaker, working with Magan-djin based collective ArticleOne, to create impactful films and media grounded in collaborative story telling and community engagement.
