Thea Raveneau is a proud Gunggari, Lardil, and Kullilli woman from Gaibal Country in Toowoomba, currently living, working, and storytelling on Jagera and Turrbal Country in Magan-djin/Brisbane. Thea completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with the class of 2022 and has made her film debut starring in A Savage Christmas (2023) and theatre debut understudying in Darlinghurst Theatre’s production of Overflow (2024). She currently works within HiQ at the Queensland University of Technology and at the Institute for Collaborative Race Research (ICRR) in between working within the arts industry.

Upon graduating in 2023 Thea joined the MELT Reference Group (MRG) at the Magan-djin/Brisbane Powerhouse in 2023; was elected to join the Queensland Performer’s Committee with the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) in 2024; joined the Matilda Awards Judging Panel in 2024; became a HiQ representative for the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU); became a panellist for the Melbourne Queer Film Festival in 2025; Assistant Stage Managed/stepped in as Stage Manager for Pramkicker in 2025; and began volunteering for the 350 Magan-djin branch of the international 350 climate justice organisation.

Thea places huge value on honesty, passion, love, humour, forgiveness, growth, and compassion. She is a hard worker, a team player, and a very spiritual person, striving to create and maintain safe spaces before people enter, instead of damage control after. Thea thrives working in spaces and on projects that connect people on mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels, and will always have time for a yarn.
